Inculcating Healthy Habits In Kids


All the best internationals schools are famous for trying to inculcate important healthy habits in kids so that they may enjoy a better life in the future. There is a lot of research and many trial & error methods applied to make sure that the basic important habits are developed in all kids.

The chief habit amongst these is eating right. Very often, parents end up giving way too the children’s demands and allow them to eat whatever pleases them. This ends up making them very rigid about their food habits and they rarely grow out of it after they are adults. More often than not, they consume a lot of junk food and end up with poor health. Hence, eating right is something both schools and parents can try to teach kids in coordination with one another.


Second important habit that many kids need to develop is one of exercising and spending time outdoors. A couple of decades ago, outdoor sports and games were the only recreation available to kids. However, with the advent of technology, kids are spending more and more time glued to various gadgets. Hence, they have poor eyesight and weaker motor skills. This also has an impact on their bodies. Because of the lack of exercise, kids end up not growing to the full extent of their potential.


Thirdly, kids need to develop important values. At the very least, the values that each child should have are teamwork, honesty, loyalty, brotherhood, etc. Research proves that kids develop these values much faster if they are fostered both at school and at their home. Given that most modern families are nuclear, there is a higher chance of kids learning these things at school amongst other kids their age.

This is another reason why every parent would want to send their kid to the best school in Mumbai.
